Confessions from a Mötley Crüe Concert

Mötley Crüe and KISS came through Dallas on Saturday night and it was a blast…as usual!! Crüe is a yearly event and we haven’t missed one in at least 10 years. {Could be longer, but I have a terrible memory…probably from so many Crüe concerts. My husband has been to 30+ Crüe concerts. I know, obsessive much?} It’s ridiculously fun and the people-watching is at epic levels, as I am sure you can guess. KISS gave us a whole new level of people-watching.

As I waited in line to use the wonderful facilities at Gexa {AKA Starplex, Smirnoff, Superpages, now Gexa. Whew…}, I ran into some lovely ladies. I present you with Exhibit A. The cigarette she is smoking she found on the ground, lit it, then quickly muttered, “I hope she didn’t have herpes.” Classic.

See…even the Dallas Observer thought she was a sight for sore eyes. {This appears to be earlier in the evening} I laughed my ass off when I saw this today!

Exhibit B from the Icehouse women’s bathroom line I failed to take a picture of, but the conversation went something like this:

Girl: Cool shirt!
Me: Thanks! I just bought it at the merchandise stand.
Girl: Except you should cut it low to show your cleavage.
Me: *uncomfortable silence*
Girl: So, I just kissed a girl for the first time. I thought it was going to happen in my sorority, but nope, at a Mötley Crüe concert. That girl has my concealer and makeup in her mouth!
Me: *nervous laughter*

That is just a little excerpt from my trips to the women’s restroom…it sure did deliver!

Here are more shots from the concert.

These sweet kids (8 yr old twins) were in full KISS garb and I had to snap a picture. I asked their mom, “How old are your girls?” To which she replied, “They’re boys.”

I’m sure my hair band heroes can relate! :)

Tommy Lee rides a roller coaster…WHILE PLAYING DRUMS!! If you haven’t seen this, of course LIVE is the way to go, but here is a clip:

The last shot is of KISS doin’ their thang…

The night ended with the hubby and I stumbling into a cab and staying at Hotel Palomar. We woke up thinking we were at a totally different hotel. So, who am I to judge???

Thanks for the memories, guys! You rocked my wedges off again!!
