About Yvearl

Hello there! My name is Yvette but my friends call me Earl. I know, it’s not very girlie, but it is what it is so…YVEARL, pronounced ee vurl.

Now that we have that cleared up, here’s a bit about myself…

I am a professional at not being a professional. I love to cook, decorate, talk, rock, and laugh….just not professionally! Expert I am not. But it sure is fun trying and living my crazy life. Some days I feel like it’s white all around, my hands are tied neatly behind my back, and Pink Floyd “Comfortably Numb” is playing in the background. {Which, now,  sounds like a vacation} Some days, I’m floating from busy to extremely busy and when I’m not, well, I’m on here!

I’m a mom of three sweet little ones. As I know you moms out there can attest, being a mom is not only the most rewarding thing you’ll ever do, it is also the hardest. Some days, hours, moments, I could literally eat my children up. They are the best!! Some days there is a huge question mark over my head and I’m saying, “Who are these people????”

I love my hubby, my friends and I couldn’t live without my family. They are my rock.

My friend, Erin Blinn, is the best photographer in the world. No, really! http://erinblinn.com

Food…ahhhh glorious food….I feel like the Cookie Monster when I talk about food {COOOOKIEEEEEES!!!} and I’m delusional enough to think I can cook like Rachael Ray. 30 minute meals and the Food Network is where it all began for me.

Picking and finding deals on furniture, knick-knacks, really anything…puts me right back into my old gig: SALESWOMAN. HearMeROARRRR… Then changing those looks and selling them or making them my own is channeling my crafty side. SO. MUCH. FUN. I have a few pinned on my Pinterest, if you’d like to check it out. “She’s crafty…” Sorry, Beastie Boys. I’m sure I’m not the first crafty stay-at-home mom to sing those lyrics!

No, all seriousness aside…there’s nothing serious about this blog. I’m just a girl from Texas havin’ fun. Basically this blog is about everything…everything I like, I’ve read, I do, or care about. I hope you dig it! (And yes, on occasion I accept payment for advertisements, reviews and the like.)

I’d love your feedback, advice, or any ideas you have. In the meantime, I’ll “talk” about living in this ridiculously hot Texas weather, the Cowboys, DIY…no you just didn’t, and Damn! That food looks sooooo good! Or quite possibly, OOPS! I screwed that one up!

Adios!
